Sleep isn’t linear
It’s so easy to just believe sleep will steadily improve. Letting go of this idea can really help with blaming yourself and obsessing about how your little one sleeps. Your child’s sleep is likely to improve eventually however it might be a bit of a up and down journey. There are many factors that affect sleep; illness, teething, developmental milestones and weaning. There are likely to be times when your baby or child sleep improves and then times when it all seems to go wrong. Obviously this is really frustrating but it doesn’t mean you have done anything wrong or that you should be doing something differently. Somethings can’t be prevented. Sleep is nonlinear.
