Routines and Structure

I believe that when it comes to routines and getting some structure to your day, being flexible is key.
Accept that it is quite unlikely that your days can be the same everyday. Keep your baby’s wake windows in mind and be flexible during the day depending on when each nap was and how long it lasted. An early bedtime is always possible if needed and this can be as early as 6pm.

Starting the day around the same time each day will help regulate your little ones body clock. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same time but within 30-45 minutes would help.

It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with trying to do every nap in their sleep space or doing lunch and dinner at the same time but it’s so important to have a routine that works for you and your family and some days this might mean shorter naps on the go and an earlier bedtime. It’s about being flexible and starting each day as a new day.
