Sleep enhancing foods
Did you know that certain foods can help your little one sleep! The following foods have been shown to boost melatonin production helping them to stay asleep and help their quality of sleep;
Milk
Cheese
Kiwi
Cherry
Banana
Oats
Tomato
I’m not saying that a kiwi and banana before bed will make them sleep through (sorry!) but these foods will certainly contribute to making sure they are capable of good quality sleep!
Processed foods and high sugar foods before bed will affect their sleep quality. You could try one of these melatonin boosting foods as a snack before bedtime especially with those hungry toddlers that seem to live for a snack!
